Our partners ensure long-term protection through cooperation with governments and written agreements for the protected areas. The trees are planted by local community members, which alleviates poverty and creates an economic incentive for conservation. We also use agroforestry species for sustainable income, promote alternative energy sources and finance forest rangers through a protection fund. In this way, people and nature benefit permanently from the new forests.
